Plenty on at the Miner's Institute

THERE'S plenty to look forward to this autumn at Blackwood Miners' Institute.
Fans of comedy will see the start of the new series of regular 'Stute' comedy nights starting on September 3 as well as additional comedy from Josie Long in November and Elis James in January.
There is live music from the original Animals and local band 4th Street Traffic plus tributes to Buddy Holly, Deep Purple and The Sinatra Years.
BlackRAT Productions bring back John Godber's Bouncers, which will tour Wales and visit London in association with Blackwood Miners' Institute. Also, ChickenShed Theatre Company from London will spend a week in the South East Valleys working with young people, exploring the themes of their production Crime of the Century.
Frank Vickery brings his new black comedy Barkin' to complete the drama line up, there is also the annual visit from Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra, and the popular christmas panto, this year Mike Doyle returns as Robinson Crusoe.
