5:30pm Friday 27th January 2012
PLANS for a new station are set to be put on show at a special exhibition organised by Network Rail Wales.
The community of Energlyn and the surrounding areas are being urged to go to the public exhibition to find out more about a proposal to build a new station in Energlyn, Caerphilly.
Developed on behalf of the Welsh Government and backed by Caerphilly County Borough Council and SEWTA, the proposal aims to deliver a two-platform station to serve trains to and from Cardiff.
The drop-in event will be held on February 9, from 4pm to 8pm at Plasyfelin Primary School, Lewis Drive, Churchill Park Caerphilly, CF83 3FT.
It will provide an opportunity for residents to give feedback on the proposed work and speak to representatives from Network Rail and Arriva Trains Wales.
Public who are unable to attend and wish to find out more may also contact Network Rail's 24/7 Helpline on 0845 711 4141.
